Huertas nightlife is the walkable, visitor-heavy strip between Sol and Atocha. Bars first, then Teatro Kapital at Calle de Atocha 125 if you want the seven-floor club. It is easy, loud, and not the local secret. That is fine if ease is what you wanted.
Stay here if it is your first night and you want everything on foot until the metro closes. Do not stay here if you hate noise: weekend apartments on these streets get the queue, not a courtyard. Kapital’s peak is after 1:30am. Eating at 8pm and standing at the door at 11:30pm is the wrong clock.

Is Huertas only for tourists?
It is tourist-heavy, especially on Saturday. Spaniards still use Kapital and the bars. If you want fewer visitors, go to Chamberí, Malasaña on a Thursday, or the north-side clubs.
