The local peak
Friday night in Madrid
In short
Friday is the busiest local night in Madrid. Clubs from Kapital to Gabana and Gunilla are on, offices have emptied into AZCA and Salamanca as well as the centre, and arriving at midnight still means standing in a bright room. Plan to be inside after 1:30am.
How to spend Friday
Eat in the neighbourhood you will drink in. Crossing the city after 1:30am is a taxi, and on a Friday those taxis are busy. Sol and Huertas if you want Kapital or Joy. Recoletos and Chamartín if you want Gunilla, Gabana or Tiffany’s. Do not try to do both.

Questions people ask
Is Friday or Saturday better in Madrid?
Friday is more local. Saturday adds more tourists and higher guest-artist prices. Neither is quiet.
Do I need a ticket on Friday?
For Kapital, Fitz and any named party, yes. For a normal commercial room you can still pay the door, but you will queue and you may pay more.
